The tropics are loosing their forests at an alarming rate. We were able to see some the destruction in the tropical state of Veracruz Mexico. Along the shores of this lake, the forests had been cut to allow cattle room to graze. Cattle are one of the worst enemies of the rainforest. They destroy a lot of land, both through their physical treading and through their guts.
