BIODIVERSITY OF THE PACIFIC NW!

Seward is a small town on the end of the Kenai Peninsula. It borders the Kenai Fjords National Park. Its in this park that we took a small trip on a boat to checkout the marine life.

We saw many new animals. There were birds flying all around us. Many of these birds are specialized for living around the water. They include the puffins and the murrelets. Murrelets are amazing little creatures. Some of them can dive up to 590 feet in search of foot. They don't use their wings like the puffins do underwater.
