BIODIVERSITY OF THE PACIFIC NW!

Kayaking Homer:

The town of Homer sits just accross Kachemak bay from some of the most beautiful wilderness areas in the state. We got the chance to explore the coves and islands for unique wildlife.

We saw, harbor porpoise, otters, stellar sealions, Harbor seals, 9 species of sea bird, and countless intertidal organisms.

Probably one of the most interesting things we learned about the intertidal was how much energy you could obtain from the plants and animals that grow here! In fact, I bet that you could live in these waters for the rest of your life through some sort of subsitance gathering.
